We've also visited the main menu of Fallout 76 after the patch was installed, where the max fps appears to be 63 fps-whereas it usually would run at over 1,000 fps with Vsync turned off (and 60 with Vsync on). Update: The patch notes have now been released, and you can read them below. The patch is a big one: about 30 GB (for comparison, the entire game is about 47 GB), so I hope everyone interested in playing will have enough time to download it before the beta begins tomorrow, November 6, at 10 am PST / 1 pm EST. November 5, 2018įallout 76 was patched today ahead of the next round of beta sessions, which will take place on Tuesday and Thursday of this week (they are also the final beta tests before the game launches on November 14). Rewards when seeking revenge on a player will also now be properly displayed. A bug when choosing the respawn option after engaging in PvP has also been addressed, so other players will no longer be categorized as hostile unless you specifically seek revenge. Now when fighting over a workshop, those players will deal full damage to hostile players. There was an issue for players using Pacifist Mode, which turns friendly fire off, who attempted to engage in PvP over a contested workshop. Here's hoping they also fixed the unending beeping from dead officers whose codes have already been taken. Camp blueprints will no longer be broken into small pieces after logging out (yay), and nuke codes will now properly drop from ghoul officers and scorched officers killed by the player. The patch notes for version 1.14 say the game client and servers have improved stability and issues have been addressed to "resolve hitches during gameplay". And be glad you're not playing on console, where the patch is somehow 47 GB-basically the size of the entire PC install. The other items Bethesda outlined last week, like push-to-talk, stash limit increases, and an FOV slider, will come in a patch later this year. It's patch day for Fallout 76, and the 15 GB update mostly focuses on performance tweaks and bug fixes.
